Why A Kuma Wood Stove?

Comfort: Grandma used to say that wood heat was a different kind of heat. She was right. With forced air furnaces, only the air is conditioned, so the air temperature in the home changes rapidly when the furnace shuts off. A Kuma wood stove produces a combination of radiant and convection heat that warms your entire environment. The walls, floors and contents warm up to provide a cozy home.

Economics:  In most regions, heating with a wood stove is the least expensive way in cost per btu- even if you buy your firewood. Plus, it is the only fuel source you can control by cutting your own wood. With a volatile energy market, heating with a Kuma wood stove can save real dollars.

Performance:  Kuma wood stoves are highly efficient and offer high heat output, long burn times, low emissions and conveniences like large, easy to use ash pans. We’re perfecting the art of wood burning.

Handcrafted Quality:  Still made right here in Idaho, USA. We take incredible pride in products that are made by one craftsman, start to finish. No assembly lines. Not assembled with parts made offshore. Each stove has the finish details you would expect on a hand-made stove. All stoves are laser cut precision steel and come with our limited lifetime warranty. Kuma Stoves is still a family owned and operated, so when you purchase a Kuma, we can honestly say it is from our family to yours.

Environmentally Smart:  Wood burning is not only a renewable fuel source, it also has a positive environmental impact. As trees grow, they absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) using energy from the sun. When a tree dies or is burned, the carbon that is stored in the tree is released back into the air. Thus, heating your home with a Kuma EPA certified wood stove or insert releases no more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than a tree rotting on the forest floor. However, heating your home with a fossil fuel such as gas or coal releases a compressed form of CO2 that directly contributes to global warming. Additionally, all Kuma EPA certified wood stoves emit on average 15 times less particulate matter into the air than older, non-certified stoves.
